Description
Hofskirkja Church in Iceland is the most recent grass-roofed church to have been built. Originally constructed in 1884, the roof stretches from its pointed top all the way to the ground. The church was rebuilt in 1954. The building itself is composed of wood with stone slabs for steps. This Icelandic style architecture was a good way to keep warm in the winter months. Try saying something from this place – “Good morning.” : “Góðan daginn.”
