The Llangernyw Yew is an ancient tree in the churchyard of St. Digain’s Church in the village of Llangernyw. Some claim the tree is over 4,000-years-old. Others argue that the tree is likely no older than the holy site, which makes the tree about 1,500 years of age. The tree has lost its core and is fragmented. It’s girth is about 35 feet. Try saying something from this place – “How old are you?” : “Faint yw eich oed?”
