Description
The Panamá Canal was built over the period of ten years, finally opening up in 1914. It is a 48-mile connection that branches between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The Panamá Canal is incredibly important for ship travel, and many merchants rely on the canal for maritime trade. The canal uses millions of gallons of water from the Gatun Lake to help elevate and lower ships as they pass through the Panamá Canal. Try saying something from this country: “How long is the Panama Canal?” “¿Cuánto dura el Canal de Panamá?”
