Paricutin is a dormant volcano that can be found in Mexico. The volcano rose up from a cornfield back in the year 1943. Paricutin has a cone shape, meaning it is a cinder volcano. The cone shape creates a very steep hill. The volcano hasn’t erupted in over fifty years. Near the top of the volcano is the San Juan Parangaricutiro Church, which is preserved in hardened lava. Paricutin is considered one of the seven wonders of the world.
