The water from the Rio Tinto River flows down from the Andalusian Mountains, which are located in Spain. The river flows all the way down to the city of Huelva. The river has a very unique look to it. Instead of crisp blue water, the water is tinted a deep shade of red. This is because of all the iron that has dissolved in the water. The river is famous for explorers, who have discovered many precious minerals, such as copper, silver, and even gold.
