Description

Roopkund is known by the locals as Mystery Lake or Skeletons Lake. This glacial lake in the Himalayas of India is famous for the hundreds of human skeletons found at the edge of the waters. With a depth of around six feet, the skeletal remains can be seen when the snow has melted. At the high altitude of 16,499 feet, it is uninhabited. Try saying something from this place – “Nice to meet you”: “Aapase milakar achchha laga.”
