Description

Tatev is one of the oldest churches in history, having been constructed sometime during the ninth century. The church is located on a giant plateau right near the Syunik Province. On top of being an ancient church, it also served as a medieval university during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. In modern day, it is technically counted as an Armenian Apostolic Church.
