Description

The Teatro Di Sancarlo in Naples, Italy is the oldest public opera house on the planet. It was built back in 1737 to hold 3,285 occupants. A portion of the building burned when a fire broke out in 1816. The structure was rebuilt on a smaller scale to hold 1,444 seats. The building was damaged by bombs during World War II and repaired in 1943. Try saying something from this place – “Do you like opera?”: “Ti piace l’opera?”
