Description

Cambodia has the largest religious monument in all of the world, known as the Angkor Wat. It is a sprawling temple complex, that is over one million square meters. The Angkor Wat was originally built as a Hindu Temple, but right near the beginning of the thirteenth century it was converted into a Buddhist temple. Not only is the Angkor Wat temple the most popular tourist attraction, but it has become a symbol for the county. The Angkor Wat is even visualized on the flag.
