USA Flag Originally adopted in 1777, the flag of the USA was modified in 1960 with 50 stars to represent all 50 states. The red and white stripes stand for the original thirteen colonies declaring independence from Britain. This flag is also called Old Glory, The Star-Spangled Banner, and The Stars and Stripes.
The Natural Bridge can be found in Rockbridge, Virginia. As the name suggests, it is made out of a naturally forming arch that is in the shape of a bridge. The bridge was created by the waters from Cedar Creek carving into the limestone in the mountain. The bridge itself stands over two hundred feet tall.
The Thomas Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C. is dedicated to founding father Thomas Jefferson. The memorial is a neoclassical building that sits on the shores of the Tidal Basin of the Potomac River. It was constructed of white Imperial Danby Marble shipped in from Vermont. While the building was completed in 1943, the bronze statue was not added until 1947.
