Zoroastrian Sarv is the most ancient tree in Iran. Also called the Cypress of Abarkuh, it is believed to be approximately 4,000 years of age. It stands about 27 yards tall and has a commanding presence that captivates many visitors annually. According to legend, it was planted by the son of Noah, who was himself the focal point of a famous legend. That legend is the biblical story of Noah’s ark.
